Character Dialectics
March 2018
This short series critically reviews films that present ambiguous characters. On the one hand, it aims to demonstrate a thesis, but then showcases an anti-thesis, culminating into a synthesis through the audiovisual language. The reviews explore Ivan's character from Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible and The Driver's character from Nicolas Refn's Drive (2011).
